Elena has obtained honor degrees through all her studies. She has graduated a Bachelors of Constructions and 2 subsequent masters. She finished a Master in Construction back in Romania and a Master in Project Management at MelbourneUniversity in Melbourne, Australia.

She used to work as a senior consultant for a medium size construction consultancy company.
Her technical training gives Elena a sharp analytical edge. In early 2009 her 2 yr old son was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. Due to her technical background she became an avid researcher into IBD medication and complications at first then into alternative approaches.
Elena was a member of International Federation of University Women (IFUW) for years. She presented in various conferences: in 2000 in Ottawa, Canada at the triennial conference of IFUW and in 2001 in Townsville, Australia. Elena was a main presenter at the Townsville International Women’s Conference held in July 2001. She presented a paper on “Trafficking Human Being” why, where and what are we doing about t?

In 2010 she embraced a new career by starting study in Reiki traditional. In 2012 Elena became a Master in Reiki healing and teaching Reiki.
She studied Nutrition for Managing Disease, works part-time as a Reiki practitioner and raises her 3 young children.
She lives in Melbourne, Australia together with husband Radu and children Erik, Theodor, and Rebecca.
Life has driven Elena to become more of a full time mum on the search for an UC cure for her son. Currently her son is stable with no medication. He takes only a few supplements and avoids trigger foods, preservatives, colorants and additives. In addition, her son receives regular Reiki from his mom. The results are good and the little one is growing well and feeling well but still having low grade ongoing ulcerative colitis issues.

About me again:

Hi, I’m Elena, you already know my schooling background so I’m going to say a few things about who I am or who I’d like to become. Since 2012 when I became a Reiki practitioner trained to the Master Level, I questioned my life purpose, more exactly, what I enjoy doing and being. Most of the time I was disappointed as I couldn’t find any distinctive hands on area where I would have a passion. What can anyone do with a love to read, with a passion to know? To this day I still struggle to understand if there is any other hobby I enjoy but it looks like I found what I am passionate about:

I have a deep burning desire to find natural ways to health. My searches to health while they have a need (2 kids with serious health issues) are related to the desire to know, to find out the way to re-balance the human body. I do believe there is a way to re-balance the human body through lifestyle: activities, nourishing foods, believes, supplements, teas and love. However, the biggest difficulty I found is to adapt the “recipe” for individuals. Because we are all unique there is no recipe to fit all sizes and that’s a great thing actually, it creates diversity.

Most probably everyone wants deep down to change the world, to make it a better place to live in. I am no different. Therefore I have realized that my passion is to share with others all the great information I find through my searches for health. Why am I better or qualified to to this? Probably I’m not, I’m just using my common sense, my analytical skills and the dedication I put into the hours of research to come up with some pieces of the puzzle called health.

So, stay in good health!

Affiliate links: As I am a stay-at-home mum, when I find a product worth buying for my readers I will promote it through affiliate links on my blog. If you click and buy something through my link I would get a small amount of money for that. This way I try to keep my family going and still have time for “searching for health”. You do not have to buy anything! Only if it happens to need something in the affiliate links, feel free to do it.

    • Reiki is said to be the most beautiful God left us with. Check it out!

      • I am a certified light therapy coach so I am pretty familiar with energy healing but I have never experienced Reiki (even though I know people who do it) and would really like to. Since I got involved in energy/ light healing, I have found many scriptures that back up the use of energy and light in the body. God is said to be THE light:)

    much love

    • Chantalle,
thank you for taking the time to send me your thoughts. I’m a big fan of the Hippocrates teachings. Unfortunatelly I live far away from Florida but I’ll definitely chek their website at least.

  8. Greetings Elena,
Thanks for the awesome Carrot cake Recipe! 🙂 Currently fighting 4 types of cancer and thru alternative means and a Vegan Lifestyle I’m beating it back and winning this battle, not to mention getting very healthy. I have to modify most recipes as I do no dairy or animal products, not so much a moral issue, just keep’n it green… 🙂 I’ve learned so much here in blogsville. I know your journey will not only teach but you will learn as well. Be Well, Stay Blessed… Peace…

    • Steve,

I’m very happy that my recipes can reach people who need and want them. I’ve been swiming in a sea of aquintances and friends who look at me with compassion but don’t really get the nuts and bolts of the problem. Sooner or later we are all going to hit a wall being either a chronic disease, pain or a cancer if we don’t wake up and try to stay healthy. The most difficult part is to reverse the brain washing from all the ads on TV.
As the name of my blog say I’m a bit of health nut. So, may I suggest to you to go on a very high raw food percentage (90-100%) with plenty of seeds and nuts plus a large amount of green leaves? I wish you a warm “stay healthy” and hang in there, life must be awsome! If you’d like to know more of my thoughts about getting healthy you can contact me and ask (I don’t want to bother people with “my knowledge”).

      • I’m on a high green raw food diet now. However there is always something to share and would not be bothered at all… I have, in the past, not been so good to my body and I know I created the environment for every pain, growth and anything else my body is giving me a rampant wake up call about…. Any knowledge is more than appreciated, I not only want to know but hunger for knowledge of nutrition. Funny thing is, we don’t come with user manuals and are left to our own resources. Which is probably why we “as a nation” are under nourished, fat and diseased.

Thank You so much for any help… I’ll be in touch. Peace…

      • Sorry for the late reply. I think you will benefit from integrating also soul/mind exercises to help you fight the disease. Check this one I wrote today for you and other people: https://healthnutmumblog.wordpress.com/2013/07/30/three-exercices-for-clearing-chakras/

      • No worries, I’ve been offline for a few weeks… Ok maybe a bit longer. This is Genius actually, as the reason I’ve been off line is I’m riddled with blocks and have been flopping around like a fish our of water to try to get centered. I dunno what happened, I just woke up one day and set into a depression. Thank You for this and I’ll use this and keep you posted. This life is definitely an interesting journey… Thank You…

  9. Hi Elena. Thank you for your visit to “Beautiful, Courageous You”. Your story is amazing, I pray your little boy will be blessed with God’s miracle healing touch X

  10. Thank you for your like and visit. What an amazing story you have.

    • Thanks for visiting too. I guess we all have in lives small clues when we have to have a change … I probably ignored the small ones and got the big clues. And I changed!
