Recipe 48 – Reduced grains chocolate brownie



5 eggs

6-7 tbs honey

1 tsp vanilla extract

½ tsp baking powder

½ tsp baking soda

4 tbs cocoa

3 tbs gluten free flour (any combination)

4-5 tbs almond meal

3 tbs chopped walnuts

¼ cup water or nondairy milk

3 tbs coconut butter

1-2 tbs Chopped dark chocolate

Chocolate frosting:

1 dark chocolate (85 %)

2 tbs butter

2 tbs coconut butter

3-4 tbs agave nectar

2-3 tbs water

Juice from an orange to make the cake moist.


Pre-heat oven at 140C.

Blend all the ingredients for the cake except for walnuts.

Mix in the walnuts and pour the batter into the papered and oiled rectangle form.

Bake it for about 20-25 minutes (try it with a stick).

Leave it to cool down.

Spray the orange juice on the cake and leave it to absorb it well.

For frosting: On a double boiler melt chocolate and add all the ingredients while you mix it on the stove. Mix well and leave it to cool down then place it in the fridge for about 10 minutes.

Frost the cake and place it in the fridge for at least 1 hour then cut it into 2×2 cm pieces and enjoy.
